While developing the large “The Origin & Future of the Blood” series, which was eventually realized in cut paper, I made a group of the pieces out of plywood with enamel paint. They were then installed guerilla-style on a vacant building on NW Glisan St. in Portland, Oregon. As of 2015, some of the pieces were still intact; some had some interaction with graffiti artists, and some had been poached, presumably for home installation. The building was later entirely renovated.
