The greater 202021 metrotemporal area provided my studio with lots of opportunities to experiment and also work through some of art history, specifically different approaches to using text. This loosely grouped, ongoing series–titled “After the Flood, After the Storm”, phrases that come from Rimbaud’s poems “Illuminations”–also explores some personal history: of emotions, childhood, the drudgery of work, dreams, nightmares, and dissolution.
